Hi, I’m Elizabeth and I’m so glad you are here. I have a Masters in Counseling and work as an Eating Disorder Recovery Coach. My approach is faith-based, strengths- based, and collaborate. We work together to figure out what drives the behaviors and set goals to move toward healthier decisions.

Eating Disorders are never actually about food or body, but we do have to eat appropriately in order to recover. We will explore the feelings driving the behaviors and learn alternate coping skills to support a healthy life.

Eating disorders are multi-determined, biopsychosocial disorders which require a multi-pronged approach. In our work together, I can support you with neural rewiring, shifting your relationship with food and your body, and changing the behaviors that are no longer aligned with the life you want. I believe in state not weight when it comes to recovery.

I also explore the relationship between food, body, and God. I believe eating disorders are identity disorders. When we find our identity in Christ, we find it easier to let go of the ED behaviors. We when know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, how deeply we are loved by our Creator, it becomes easier to take care of ourselves.

Please note: Coaching is not a replacement for therapy or a substitute for clinical treatment. Coaching is a wonderful addition to support your recovery. If you are actively struggling with an eating disorder, I do require that you also be working with a medical doctor and/or dietitian. If you need help finding a medical doctor or dietitian, I can sometimes assist with the process.
